Fly low

Tarun wrote replying to my comment about his recent Russia trip "I have been disappointed by the sight of the society that I have visited last month for the first time."
What can I say?
Buddha told, if you want to be happy, cut your desire. I say, if you don't want to be disappointed, let your dream fly low. Remember, you are visiting a country that has gone through a tremendous change, almost revolutionary change. A war destroys only infrastructure, but the change that Russia experienced after the fall of the USSR destroyed not only infrastructure, but also inner world, past, present and for many future. I went through all this and know what does it mean. As a lover we put our g.f. in the ran of goddess, but when she becomes wife, many of us become disappointed seeing her earthly face. We had idealized communism or socialism as something divine only to find that people here are like us with all human characters.
